The CoastalARC Analytics Center charts cannot be directly shared via email or social media through the website. However, each chart can be downloaded to your devices as PNG, JPEG, PDF, or SVG vector image formats and you can definitely share the charts via email and social media in those formats.
If you have access as an editor and would like to chart a single year for the tables with multiple year data, you can download the excel with the multiple year data, select the year you would like to chart and delete the other years before importing the chart. If you are a viewer and would like to view a single year on a multiple year chart, you can zoom in on that one year rather than viewing the multiple years on the chart.
Yes. When you view a chart, there are options under "Customize Chart" to change the default font type and size of the header/chart title. Click "Header Title Styles" and you can customize the header/chart title.
Yes. When viewing a chart, there is an option to "Add Chart". Click the option and choose which chart you will like to compare, then click what type of chart it should be viewed as and add chart.
Yes. When viewing a chart, you can click any series and Legend Options will pop up. You can choose to "Do Not Chart", which excludes that series from the chart, and "Change Color", which allows you to customize that series color.
If you have editor acces to the CoastalARC Analytics Center, you can create charts using the "Dynamic Charts" option and import the excel version of the data. For more information, see Tutorial guides for creating charts.
Yes. If you download charts while you are on the website and need to access them elsewhere while offline, you can use those charts that you have downloaded. You cannot access the charts via website offline.
There is no way of changing the width of a chart using the website. However, if you download the chart in any version and need to adjust the width of the chart, that is possible through the common "click and drag" technique of adjusting image sizes on documents.
Using the CoastalARC Analytics Center, you cannot sort the labels on the Y or X axis. However, if you download the table in excel format, you can sort the labels on the Y or X axis and chart via Microsoft Excel.
Line graphs with multipe series have more than one line. If you have editor access to creating charts, you can create line graphs with two series. In turn, you will have a line graph with two lines.
When you hover on data points, you can view data values in the order they are displayed.
The charts are automatically generated according to the data input. The Y-axis intervals are automatically generated so there is no way to manipulate the interval levels.
Yes. When viewing a chart, you have a dropdown menu in the upper right corner of the chart to "Print Chart" and download to PNG, JPEG, PDF, or SVG vector image.
You can compare multiple measures using dual axes, which are two independent axes that are layered on top of each other. Dual axes are useful when you have two measures that have different scales. (Source: Tableau)
There is no way to add additional text. However, you can edit the Chart Title, Axis Titles, and Series Titles.
